Prevent Pillar Strategies
PrEP and PEP Action Kit for Provider Visitation Campaign
- This strategy aims to increase the number of medical providers in the County that prescribe PrEP. DHSP is working with medical providers to increase PrEP access and remove barriers to prescribing PrEP
Increase PrEP Access Points
- COVID-19 has shown the need to increase telehealth options. By increasing the capacity of PrEP Centers of Excellence to integrate TelePrEP into their workflow, patients can reduce the number of in-office visits while continuing to receive high-quality care and remain on PrEP.
HIV Testing at Syringe Service Programs
- Increases availability, use, and access to comprehensive Syringe Service Programs (SSPs).
- Expands the capacity of HIV and STD prevention, testing and treatment services available at SSPs.
