Implementing the EHE Plan requires more than health department action. The success of the EHE Initiative will require state, county, and city governments (including associated commissions, councils, and boards). We urge all levels of government to invest their commitment to achieving the goals of the Ending the HIV Epidemic Plan by partnering with other community and taking action.

Address the social determinants of health that drive the HIV epidemic.
Disseminate the latest scientific information.
Enact legislation that facilitates access to HIV prevention and treatment services.
Share relevant data that will aid the implementation of EHE.
Ensure there is no discrimination against people based on their HIV status.
Engage with community, including people with lived experience, and develop partnerships across sectors.
